The TGRSA 1000 Desert Race is set to make a return to Botswana in June 2023, after a three-year absence. This highly-anticipated event will take place in the diamond-mining town of Jwaneng, known as the richest diamond mine in the world, and will serve as the only marathon event on the SA Rally Raid calendar.

Competitors and fans alike can look forward to the unique experience of racing in the sandy terrain of Jwaneng, where Toyota Gazoo Racing, Ford, and Nissan will battle it out on the track, reaching staggering speeds of up to 140km/h on the loose desert terrain.

The return of the race to Botswana is a major boost for the country's economy and tourism, and local fans will be thrilled to witness the high-octane action once again.

Batswana, the local population, will once again make the pilgrimage to Jwaneng to witness one of the most epic off-road rally races on the planet. The TGRSA 1000 Desert Race is not only a major entertainment event, but it also serves as a driver of economic activity over the three days it is staged.
